Fusion Sundays!

2011 September 18
by diaz

What does Fusion do every Sunday??

9:00-10:15    Fusion students attend Main Service

  • Students sit together - left of the circle stage in reserved seating
  • Students can serve in Frontline to reach out to new/disconnected students

10:15-10:45  Fusion Meet-Up in Student Ministries Room

  • VISION: environment for high school students to connect weekly and encourage each other spiritually
  • REGARDING START TIME: Feel free to stay through 1st service if you need prayer or want to finish worshiping. However, we value Fusion’s community and want to start the meet-up at 10:15 so we have time together.
  • WHAT WILL WE DO: The meet-up a time to digest/apply teaching from main service, connect with new students and each other, verse of the week, pray together, share announcements of future training
  • CONNECTING GROUPS: smaller, consistent groups so students can go deeper, get to know each other better, and follow-up with each other
  • SPECIAL GUEST: will provide training on a topic: prayer, spiritual practices, sexuality, evangelism, etc.
  • ATTENDANCE: We will take attendance so we know who’s coming and who we need to reach out to. It’s also a way for us to connect with new students!!

10:45-???      Fusion Extended [optional]

  • Additional Training and/or conversation - occasionally
  • SM Worship Team leads soaking or extended worship time - occasionally
  • Social/Hang Out

What should parents do during the Meet-Up?
May we suggest a few options…

  • Connect and Bless! Some of you may not want to hang out at church waiting for your child to finish the meet-up time. Consider using the students’ meet-up time to fellowship with other parents of teenagers and bless your child in this special time with their peers.
  • Serve! We have LOTS of places around Newsong that need help. Noah’s Place, Creative Arts ministry, prayer team, and Frontline are critical areas of ministry for Newsong every Sunday.

We asked our volunteers what it is like to serve in Student Ministries so that you could see what the possibilities could be for you.

If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail Daniel.Roach@newsong.net.  You’ll be invited to come visit Evolve or Fusion on a Sunday morning and meet some of these great volunteers!
